What a beautiful building! Arrived in the snow and it is truly stunning. Walking distance from the centre where you can find great restaurants. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by a lovely gentleman. We stayed in room 14, which has a very nice historic surprise in the room. The bed is amazing, we are both very tall and have never slept in such a huge bed. The mattress and pillows are super comfortable. Everything was very clean. Breakfast started at 7am and couldn't have been more happy with the service. A super cheery and friendly lady took our order swiftly (there is a buffet and freshly cooked breakfast) and we really enjoyed it. Will be back for our next stay in Elgin, thanks a lot for your hospitality.

Breakfast was outstanding- excellent selection and presented . Table setting was equally excellent. Breakfast 10/10 well done. Bed - excellent again. Very comfortable and clean and presentable in an excellent wall. A little dated ( so what ! - did not stop me having a good nights sleep. The room was fine, again dated - but absolutely fine. Bathroom excellent. Only two “things” NOT Issues No shampoo and best side lights - I think could do with being a little brighter- BUT goodness me I am nit picking - have no hesitation booking again or recommending. Well done hotel and staff 👍👍

The property is a beautiful old mansion within its own grounds set at the side of the river. The few staff we met were polite and helpful. The lounge and dining room looked recently refurbished as apposed to the rest of the public rooms. We enjoyed playing snooker with a drink and chatting with other guests in the lounge. Large four poster room (2) with large tv and seating area, plenty of toiletries. Good breakfast, plenty of choice, lots of eateries in the high street. Highly recommend The Drouthy Cobbler. Another stop on our anniversary trip. Great night had x

I requested a bath in our bathroom additional the our they responded and confirmed the request. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted. The was so warm and inviting, it was spotlessly clean spacious and just what we needed after a long journey. We sleep so well and the next o ring our breakfast was delicious so well presented and cooked to perfection! A real secret escape in a beautiful building. We also enjoyed a game of snooker before we left on the full sized table!

A beautiful older hotel in a quiet location, though very close to central Elgin. We loved the decor - it’s a genuine manor house with lovely period furnishings. The lounge is very beautiful, yet unpretentious. We were sorry we had only 1 night there, and would stay here again. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. Excellent breakfast - with good coffee and delicious haggis. We are now converts
